THE DREAM

We want everyone at Grace Church to experience transformation through community with others. God's Word tells us that the Early Church gathered in large groups and in small groups. Acts 2:46

THE ANSWER

Grace Groups

WHAT ARE GRACE GROUPS?

Grace Groups are groups that gather for the SOLE PURPOSE of experiencing transformation through caring relationships, prayer, Biblical Truth and accountability.

HOW DO I GET INTO A GRACE GROUP?

There are two ways to get into a Grace Group.

  1. Attend the next Grace Link - This is the easiest and most common way of getting into a Grace Group. Grace Link takes place the beginning of September and the beginning of January. Grace Link is a special evening hosted at the church that connects you with a Grace Group in your area.
  2. Join an already existing Grace Group. Many Grace Groups are already functioning within a neighborhood near you. These Grace Groups want you to join them. To sign up for Grace Link or to join a Grace Group near you please contact Jamie Roiland at This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it  or 740-881-6200.

HOW MANY PEOPLE ARE IN A GRACE GROUP?

Grace Groups vary in size. However, most are 12 to 14 people.

WHAT KIND OF GRACE GROUPS ARE THERE?

We have different Grace Groups for varying needs.

  • Men's - These groups typically meet in the early mornings over breakfast. Men's Grace Groups vary in topic, usually focusing upon a particular book. Most meet on a weekly basis throughout the year. Grace Pac is a monthly breakfast held in the church auditorium offering a time of teaching and fellowship.
  • Mixed - These groups usually commit to meeting for two years. They consist of married couples and singles, often meeting on evenings, with 80% meeting on Sunday evenings. Most Mixed Grace Groups meet twice a month and take a break during the summer months. Mixed Grace Groups are strongly encouraged to multiply every two years.
  • Singles - Are you single and want to connect with other Christian singles? We have a Grace Group just for you. All post-college singles, whether always single, widowed or divorced are invited. This group discusses post college life topics and meets at Panera Bread (Route 23 in Lewis Center) on the 2nd and 4th Sunday of every month (generally Fall through Spring) from 6:00 p.m.-7:30 p.m.
  • Women's - Beginning in the fall and continuing through spring, women of all ages gather nearly every day and/or night of the week to focus on exploring God's Word. Grow in Christ while developing Christ-centered friendships! Pick from any of the different groups meeting in the Powell/Delaware area.

WEEKLY DISCUSSION QUESTIONS FOR GRACE GROUPS

  1. When you think of God, do you think of Him more in human realms (as in the person of Jesus Christ found in the Gospels) or in Spirit realms?
  2. Why do you think God uses human terms at times in order to describe Himself (Genesis 6:8, 2 Chronicles 16:9, Psalm 75:8)?
  3. What are some other references where God explains Himself in human terms?
  4. Read 1 Thessalonians 5:23 and Hebrews 4:12. Why do you think God sees us as holistic? What do you think is represented by each part; body, soul, spirit?
